
A 15-year-old from San Bernardino was arrested early Sunday morning after being found in possession of a "ghost gun" during a traffic stop, the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner's Department reported. The unnamed youth was stopped by Deputy H. Islas of the Central Station on Sterling Avenue near 19th Street at approximately 12:35 a.m. when the discovery of the non-serialized, loaded firearm took place, concealed in his waistband.
The teenager attempted to escape on foot but was swiftly apprehended by law enforcement officials. It was later revealed that the juvenile was already on felony formal probation due to prior firearm-related offenses, adding to the gravity of the situation. According to the official report, the young individual was booked into the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall for violating PC 25850(C)(6) – Possession of a Loaded Firearm.
