Residents of Seattle, brace for a touch of the dreary weather typical of the Pacific Northwest this week. According to the National Weather Service in Seattle, the city will see partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, with a decent chance of showers throughout the week. While today boasts a 40 percent probability of showers and a mild high of 73 degrees, the evening could bring more rain, albeit with only a 30 percent chance of precipitation before the stroke of midnight.
Heading into Monday, things aren't looking much different, with overcast conditions expected and a slight chance of showers post 11 AM, although the temperature should hover around 73 degrees again. The NWS predicts a shift on Tuesday with a solid 70 percent likelihood of showers and a slightly cooler high of about 69 degrees. While Seattleites might get a reprieve Wednesday morning, the chance of rain will stick around at 30 percent later in the day, partly sunny skies are likely, which—given the city's reputation for rain—might be as good as it gets this week.
As the week progresses, the pattern of scattered showers continues. The city can expect a 50 percent chance of rain on Tuesday night, while Wednesday and Thursday will see a mix of partial sunshine and the potential for more precipitation. Even with the sun peeking out occasionally, the promise of a dry day remains elusive.
