In a coordinated sting operation that reads like straight out of a procedural cop drama, Randolph Police Department, in collaboration with federal agencies, brought down a Stoughton man on a litany of drug trafficking charges. The suspect, identified as Camryn Guillaume, age 34, was operating out of a Randolph cemetery of all places.
The arrest, which took place on August 26, saw Guillaume slapped with various charges including trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, distribution of oxycodone, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Randolph Police, alongside U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Task Forces 1 & 5, spearheaded the operation, with the Stoughton and Weymouth Police Departments, and the South Shore Drug Task Force (SSDTF) playing support, according to an official statement by the Randolph Police Department.
The bust was the culmination of a comprehensive investigation into the suspect’s activities. It was in Weymouth that Guillaume was nabbed following a suspected drug deal. This led the authorities to execute a search warrant at his Stoughton residence, where they found a veritable arsenal and a variety of narcotics, including nearly 1,000 assorted prescription pills, as well as a significant amount of cash totaling $88,374.
"A dedicated and professional team of detectives and agents worked hard to investigate this suspect and bring him to justice," Chief Anthony Marag lauded the efforts of the involved agencies in a report by the Randolph Police Department. "Thanks to this incredible example of inter-agency law enforcement cooperation, a dangerous drug dealer, his gun and his cash are off the streets and out of our cemetery."
