A confrontation in San Diego's Core-Columbia neighborhood late last night resulted in three people being stabbed and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. According to the San Diego Police Department, a dispute that escalated into a physical altercation took place at 1000 Kettner Boulevard around 9:12 pm. The suspect, described as a male in his 50s with long grey hair, seemingly instigated the argument with the victims for reasons yet unconfirmed, before using an unknown object to inflict the injuries. The victims include a 27-year-old female with lacerations to both legs, a 36-year-old female with a laceration to her neck, and a 39-year-old male with a cut leg.
Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended by officers at 1355 North Harbor Drive at 10:57 pm. The police acted on a description of the suspect and, through an ensuing interaction, were able to positively identify and arrest the male who matched the initial reports. All three victim were taken to a local hospital and are expected to recover from their injuries. Central Division detectives have taken over the investigation into what led up to the violence that ruptured the night.
