Early yesterday morning on the Northwest Side of San Antonio, chaos unfolded when a stolen truck barreled through a red light and collided with another vehicle, leading to two arrests and one suspect still at large. The accident, which occurred at the intersection of De Zavala and Vance Jackson roads around 1:30 a.m., involved a gray 2021 Toyota hit by a yellow Dodge Ram that had been reported stolen, reported KENS 5.
The impact led to the immediate flight of the Dodge's occupants, with two men, aged 19 and 21, subsequently apprehended by San Antonio police after a pursuit these individuals had attempted to throw off the law enforcers in a foot chase through the city, these frantic moments ending in custody for the pair, as outlined by a KSAT report. The passenger of the Toyota received medical attention for injuries deemed non-life threatening.
San Antonio Police Department's preliminary findings have the offender's list piling up for the captured duo, facing charges including evading arrest and possession of a criminal instrument. The suspected wheelman, still on the run, will have to answer, once caught, to more serious offenses inclusive of failure to stop and render aid, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and additional counts of evading arrest.
