Two St. Louis men have pleaded guilty to charges of drug conspiracy. Dennis M. Davis, 47, and Shem J. Guy, 34, admitted involvement in a drug operation dating back to at least 2019, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Davis pleaded guilty yesterday to distributing controlled substances, including fentanyl. Guy pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in June and is scheduled for sentencing on October 1. Davis faces a potential sentence of 10 years to life in prison and a fine of up to $5 million. Guy faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.

On September 6, 2023, agents executed court-approved searches of a house linked to Davis, recovering four rifles, two pistols, $12,323 in cash, a money counter, and drugs including 4.9 kilograms of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

Both men agreed to forfeit assets connected to their crimes, including cash, firearms, and a 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn truck. Davis is scheduled for sentencing on January 15, 2026.

The Drug Enforcement Administration worked with federal and local agencies in the investigation. The case is part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces program.
