Following a violent altercation outside a sports bar in DeSoto, Texas, authorities have identified both suspects involved in the parking lot shooting that left one person in critical condition. According to a post from the DeSoto Police Department, the suspects are 35-year-old Brandon Ray Coulter of Arlington and 36-year-old Anthony Drew Moreno, a resident of Fort Worth.
The tragic incident took place yesterday, near 900 W. Belt Line Road. Witness reports obtained by the DeSoto Police Department reveal that after being escorted out of the establishment, one of the male suspects was met by the other suspect, waiting in a vehicle, who proceeded to draw a weapon. Subsequently, shots were fired at security officers, prompting return fire that injured both suspects. Both individuals were promptly admitted to a local hospital, with one currently in critical condition.
In their ongoing inquiry, DeSoto detectives are engaging with witnesses and dissecting both video footage and material evidence. While the investigation continues, no further details have been disclosed. It has been established that both suspects are now facing charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, classified as a 2nd Degree Felony.
