
A routine drive on a quiet Minnesota road went awry last Thursday morning when two vehicles collided near Royalton, MN. The Morrison County Sheriff's Office released a statement detailing a two-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 8:34 am on September 25th, 2025, on Nature Road near Hilton Road, about a mile west of Royalton in Bellevue Township.
The crash involved a truck, driven by Wayne Easter, 66, of Little Falls, MN, and a Ram 1500 truck, driven by Bernard Wilkens, 80, of Swanville, MN. Easter, hauling a load of potatoes, was attempting a left turn into Royal Farms. According to the Sheriff's Office report, he failed to yield, and his truck was struck by Wilkens' eastbound vehicle. In the aftermath, Mary Suslaski-Wilkens, 77, also of Swanville, and a passenger in Wilkens' vehicle, was transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital with injuries, the nature of which has not been disclosed.
Multiple local agencies responded to the incident, providing necessary assistance and support. "The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Royalton Police Department, MN State Patrol, Royalton Fire Department, Royalton First Response Team and Mayo Clinic Ambulance," stated the Sheriff's Office's official statement.
While the full impact of the crash is still being assessed, community members have already begun offering support to those affected.
