The Town of Wake Forest is wrapping up a substantial road resurfacing project that has targeted more than 60 streets for rehabilitation. As report by the town's official news release, the project, which began with concrete work in February, has entered its final phase of asphalt work. Residents can expect full depth patching, roadway repairs, repaving, as well as updates to curb and gutter, and ADA ramps which are being transitioned from black to yellow to meet national standards.

The Town of Wake Forest announced that Chalk Road at the Jones Dairy Road intersection will undergo milling and paving operations during daylight hours, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., today and tomorrow. Similar operations are scheduled for North Park Drive and North White Street at night, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Notices in the form of door hangers will greet affected residents, informing them of the work ahead. A schedule has been put in place where the local community will need to keep their cars off the streets, or they face being towed at their expense during these operations.

Moving through the areas in question, motorists are advised to exercise caution and heed the guidance of flaggers and detour signs routing them around the work zones.
