After the Detroit Police Department initiated an investigation, sparked by the victim's social media posts about the assault, a 27-year-old Detroit man was apprehended and a single firearm casing was found at the scene, although no immediate call was placed to the authorities after the incident, with details coming to light from the victim starting the discussion online, as further explained by FOX 2 Detroit. The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office Special Victim’s Unit reviewed the warrant request but decided against pressing charges citing "insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt."
