Two Colombian nationals, Nikol Quiroga, 30, and Sandra Aguillon, 49, were arrested for grand theft after detectives claim they posed as house cleaners to orchestrate a series of burglaries across the San Fernando Valley.
The women were accused of using a mobile cleaning service app to create bogus profiles and gain entry into homes. According to LAPD, upon arresting Quiroga and Aguillon on September 30th, officers discovered an abundance of evidence including $50,000 in cash, luxury items, burglary tools, and Wi-Fi jammers in their apartment and vehicle. The police also found GPS trackers and stolen license plates, suggesting the sophistication, and perhaps the scope of the operation – the individuals are believed to be linked to a larger transnational crime organization.
