The Aurora Police Department has announced a series of arrests linked to a weapons incident dating back to June this year at an apartment complex in Aurora. At around 12:30 a.m. on that day, patrol officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Potomac Street after receiving a report of several armed individuals gathered outside an apartment, confirmed by a doorbell camera recording. The suspects, four out of a supposed five, are now facing various charges.
According to a social media post issued by the Aurora Police Department, the investigation was a collaborative effort involving multiple units such as the Fugitive Apprehension and Narcotics Unit, the Gang Intervention Unit, and others. The detailed report reveals the identities and charges of the detained individuals, with three arrests made in June and September and a fourth suspect's identity still pending.
Among those apprehended is Jordan Green, a 22-year-old resident of Aurora, facing two charges of felony menacing with a real or simulated weapon and one charge of misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon. Another Aurora resident, Larry Galbreath, aged 24, has been convicted of one charge of menacing after his arrest in the same month as the incident and subsequently sentenced to two two-year probation. Edgardo Alexander Torres-Vargas and Johnadel David Mendoza-Queralez, both Venezuelan nationals, are each confronted with similar charges of felony menacing with real or simulated weapons. Even with these suspects in custody, the fifth member of the group remains at large.
