In Boulder County, voters can rest assured that the upcoming November election is prepped and primed for action. The Boulder County Clerk & Recorder's Office has recently completed crucial testing on ballots and election machinery. According to Boulder County, the required Logic and Accuracy Test (LAT) saw representatives from both major political parties, confirming the fidelity of the equipment in reading and correctly tabulating votes.
The LAT's reach was comprehensive, checking that ballots were accurately printed and that machines were fine-tuned to process them. In the test's scope were 1,165 ballots, which included both mailed-in ballots and the 497 produced through ballot marking devices. It is also reported, each piece of voting equipment was returned to a clean slate, clearing all test votes to start the actual count at zero.
Voters should be on the lookout for mail ballots arriving as of this weekend, signaling the beginning of the election's tangible phase. These packets are not merely a way to cast a vote; they offer detailed info on where to drop off ballots, including the convenience of 24-hour drop-boxes scattered across Boulder County. Come Monday, October 27, in-person voting will become available as well, with a list of Vote Centers included in every mail ballot packet for those preferring to cast their vote the old-fashioned way.
