The City of Buckeye is mobilizing its community spirit once again for its annual food drive, a tradition of generosity that this year is setting its sights on doubling last year's haul. The city staff and residents are pushing to collect 3,000 pounds of nonperishable food items by November 14, to support local families in need.
According to the City of Buckeye, for those in the Buckeye area looking to participate, the city has conveniently established multiple drop-off locations, including popular spots like Coyote Library, various fire stations, and even City Hall. Contributions can also be made at the Downtown Library, The Landing, and both the Police and Fire Administration buildings, ensuring numerous opportunities for residents to pitch in ahead of the mid-November deadline.
Last year's drive successfully gathered 1,700 pounds of food, demonstrating the meaningful impact that coordinated community efforts can have.
Residents looking to contribute can consult the full list of drop-off locations, which includes Fire Stations 701 through 707, and Police Administration at 21699 W. Yuma Rd.
