An undercover sting at a Centennial massage parlor on October 2 has led to the arrest of the spa's owner for alleged prostitution, as detailed in an announcement by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office (ACSO). The operation was launched following a tip-off from a community member who claimed they were solicited during a visit to Mango Spa, situated on South Vine Street.
The investigation, carried out by the ACSO's Special Investigations Unit, involved an undercover officer posing as a customer seeking a massage at the said establishment. The scenario unfolded with the officer reportedly being offered sexual services in exchange for money by 46-year-old Sun Jingli, both an employee and the proprietor of Mango Spa. Subsequently, Jingli was taken into custody and is currently booked in at Arapahoe County Jail, facing prostitution charges, as reported by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office.
Reflecting on this incident, ACSO has issued a community alert, advising residents to stay vigilant about suspicious activities at massage parlors that could relate to illegal operations. The statement emphasized recognizing potential red flags such as unconventional business hours, cash-only transactions, absent intake procedures, secured access that requires customers to be buzzed in, poorly maintained facilities, and a frequently changing workforce. These warning signs, according to law enforcement, may point not only to prohibited services but also to darker undercurrents like human trafficking.
