Early this morning, a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Torrence Chapel Road and Knox Road in Cornelius. Engine 2 arrived to find one vehicle overturned with two people trapped inside. Crews provided medical care, stabilized the vehicle, and began the extrication process.
According to the Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue's Facebook post, both individuals were freed within approximately 15 minutes. Their identities and current conditions have not been released.
Traffic in the area was affected as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. The cause of the collision has not yet been determined, and an investigation is ongoing.
