In a display of efficient team effort, the Bravo Shift of the DeSoto Police Department successfully apprehended two suspects following a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle on Wednesday. As reported by the DeSoto Police Department via Facebook, the police located the stolen red 2014 Toyota RAV4 on West Danieldale Road. Occupied by a 25-year-old Dallas resident, Javier Ramirez, and his female accomplice, the vehicle was reported stolen out of Dallas.
The incident began as the duo fled eastbound, propelling the RAV4 at perilous speeds, which culminated in a wreck at the 3900 block of Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway in Dallas. The suspects' evasion attempt was cleaved by their own loss of control. It wasn't long before the police captured them on site. While Javier Ramirez was arrested at the scene, the woman accompanying him was also taken into custody due to outstanding warrants attributed to her. The vehicle in question was promptly returned to its rightful owner, and in a turn of good fortune, no injuries were reported throughout the ordeal.
"Great job by Bravo Shift officers for working as a team to safely apprehend both subjects," heralded G. Kirkland, Patrol Division Captain in the DeSoto Police Department's social media briefing. Further emphasizing the necessity for communal vigilance, the police reiterated the standing ethos of public safety, encouraging citizens to keep watchful eyes and 'if you see something, say something.'
