For Douglas County residents gearing up to make their voices heard in the Nov. 4 Coordinated Election, assistance is now readily available. Starting today, Oct. 27, through to Election Day, Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPCs) have swung open their doors to offer a range of election services. According to Douglas County, these centers provide in-person voting, ADA-accessible voting machines, and can also replace a lost or spoiled mail ballot.
Residents who have yet to register, or need to swiftly update their voter registration details, must do so at a VSPC after Oct. 27. The four designated locations are Kirk Hall in Castle Rock, Northridge Recreation Center in Highlands Ranch, the Lone Tree Library, and the Parker Library from the northern stretches to the heart of the county, each is strategically positioned to support voters. Each center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, offer a shorter window from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, and will extend its hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 4, the day of the election.
For those who prefer to bypass the centers, Douglas County has made available 23 secure ballot drop boxes across the region. These boxes are accessible twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring voters can easily submit their ballots at any time that suits them, all the way until the 7 p.m. cutoff on Election Day. The county’s dedication to accessible voting is clear; it’s about providing every possible avenue for ballots to be securely cast and counted in a timely fashion.
