A Flint man, 52-year-old Terry Paul Moore, has been convicted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man outside a liquor store last year. He was found guilty of second-degree murder and multiple firearms charges in the death of 45-year-old Joshun Edwards, according to CBS News Detroit.

The Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office said that on February 21, 2024, Moore shot Edwards while Edwards was trying to get into his car in the parking lot of the Southside Liquor Shoppe, which is now called the Lapeer Liquor Beer and Wine store. WNEM reported that the two men had a long history and were involved in an altercation three days earlier in Burton, Michigan.

Moore was convicted on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and two counts of felony firearm, and he now faces a possible life sentence. “Moore was convicted by a jury on Monday, Oct. 20,” said a news release from Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton, as mentioned by MLive. Testimony during the trial described the history between Moore and Edwards. Assistant Prosecutor Krystal Murphy secured the conviction. A sentencing date has not been announced.
