A tragic incident occurred on Monday morning in Gastonia when a woman in her mid-50s was struck and killed while trying to cross Gaston Avenue. The Gastonia Police Department reported that the collision took place at the intersection of Gaston and Airline Avenue, around 7 a.m. QC News detailed that the woman was hit by an Infinity as she attempted to cross the street.
The identity of the pedestrian, as well as that of the driver, has not been released to the public as of yet. However, early indications from the police suggest that no charges are expected to be filed in connection with the incident.
