A Grand Terrace man was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography, following a cyber tip from SnapChat to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department reported. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Steven Bradley McGuire, was taken into custody on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, with a bail set at $30,000.00.

The arrest comes after Snapchat alerted the CyberTip Hot Line of the NCMEC about a video uploaded to its servers that contained suspected child sexual assault material (CSAM). Snapchat, as an Electronic Communication Service Provider, is required to report such incidents swiftly to NCMEC, a national clearinghouse serving as a resource for law enforcement in such cases. The LAICAC Task Force, which includes the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, was able to access the tip through the NCMEC Virtual Private Network.

According to a release on the official website of the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, detectives from Central Station acted on the cyber tip, which led them to McGuire as the uploader of the CSAM. Subsequent to the investigation and execution of a search warrant at McGuire's residence, where further evidence was collected, McGuire was booked for violating California Penal Code section 311.11(a)(1).

"Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Detective Chris Bertetto of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Central Station," suggests the Sheriff's plea, as those wishing to remain anonymous may reach out to We-Tip at 1-800-78-CRIME or through their website, affording potential informants a measure of confidentiality in their communiqué.
