The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying three individuals involved in a fraud scheme at a local grocery store. Surveillance footage shows one suspect with a child depositing a small amount into a coin machine, followed by a woman using a forged receipt to claim over $800, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

A third suspect later continued the scam, obtaining nearly $600 through the same method. Authorities said the trio collectively stole about $1,400 by using altered receipts to deceive store employees, as stated by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, the department is asking for the public’s help to identify suspects involved in a theft case. Anyone with information can call 904.630.0500 or contact First Coast Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1.866.845.TIPS for a possible cash reward. People can also visit the Unsolved Crimes page to check for possible matches. “We want to ask them about their use of the coin machine and trade them their forged receipts for shiny silver bracelets,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
