
A brush fire that ignited in Chatsworth on the morning of October 12th was contained after scorching approximately three acres of land, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). The incident, dubbed the Harold Incident, broke out at 11733 Cetona Wy and was primarily topography-driven with no winds exacerbating the situation.
Despite the potential threat that such fires often pose, this time, no structures were threatened, as per information provided by the LAFD. Firefighting units from both Ventura County and LA County responded to the blaze. At the scene, they were working together, with cooperative efforts leading to the fire's containment, the LAFD announced.
The forward progress of the fire was halted by 09:23 AM, thanks to the swift action of the responding firefighters. No injuries were reported in the wake of the fire, and no damage to structures took place. Mop-up operations were then transitioned to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, as the area affected lies wholly within their jurisdiction.
