The Los Angeles Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in solving a hit-and-run that left a 74-year-old pedestrian dead, in a press release on their website, they detailed the tragic event that occurred on the evening of October 24, 2025, a driver in a black Audi Q3 fled the scene after hitting the senior citizen while she crossed the street in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Fox Hills Drive around 5 p.m.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel who arrived on the scene provided medical treatment to the woman however, despite their efforts, she was pronounced deceased at the scene, the LAPD has issued a reminder to drivers emphasizing the legal obligation to stop and render aid after a collision this emphasis is echoed in the shadow of the recent event that has jolted the Los Angeles community grappling with the loss of one of their own and the search for answers and accountability.
The LAPD's official release further informs that the vehicle involved was a model from between 2011 to 2018, and they are calling for any witnesses or individuals with knowledge of the incident to come forward, potentially incentivized by a monetary reward through the Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund, which promises up to $50,000 for information leading to the driver's identification and conviction.
