
Early this morning a fire broke in the industrial corridor near Downtown Las Vegas, prompting a rapid response from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue. According to News 3 Las Vegas, crews arrived at 1800 Industrial Road after reports of a blaze around 7:00 a.m.
The fire began near railroad tracks and spread to a commercial building, prompting an expanded response, FOX 5 Vegas reported.
The first unit arrived at 7:17 a.m. and began fire suppression efforts as flames spread into the building’s attic despite the presence of a sprinkler system. No injuries were reported, as per 8 News Now report. Train operations nearby were temporarily halted and resumed by 9:08 a.m.
The affected structure contains multiple businesses or warehouse facilities. An office manager from one of the businesses said this was the third fire at the building in recent times. Fire crews declared the scene under control by 7:43 a.m.
