As Halloween approaches, the Lewisville Public Library at 1197 W. Main Street has geared up to offer a variety of engaging activities for the community. The library, which operates Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., recently hosted an "After-Hours Spoooooky Teen Party" on Friday for teens to dive into the Halloween spirit with a night filled with spooky trivia, crafts, and themed music. As for those yearning to don their Jedi robes, "Star Wars Reads Day" took place as well, inviting families to enjoy activities that merge the love of reading with the beloved Star Wars universe.
For the financially savvy or those simply looking to navigate economic hardships, the library offered "Your Money, Your Future," designed to assist with understanding credit and developing strategies for financial stability. Attendees could join sans registration on Saturday morning, as outlined in a recent news release from the City of Lewisville.
However, it's not all about horror themes or financial talks at the library. In an age where digital devices dominate life, the "Unplug Texas Day" initiative encourages visitors of all ages to partake in a less screen-oriented interaction. Scheduled for Tuesday, this event emphasizes the importance of disconnecting from our gadgets and enjoying some old-school fun with board games, crafts, and coloring.
