In a recent social media post, the local government outlined details for a free yard waste drop-off at Minnesota Paving and Materials for non-commercial Mankato residents, as long as they bring proof of residency. The aim is simple: to manage seasonal yard waste efficiently and sustainably.
The drop-off site, located at 57032 231st Lane, is prepped to accept compostable materials ranging from fallen leaves to grass clippings—but there's a catch, materials must be separated. Woody debris should be kept apart from other compostable matter, a necessary step to ensure that waste is processed correctly.
