The City of Marysville is accepting grant applications to fund projects aimed at easing the struggles of its most vulnerable citizens. In the recently announced initiative, organizations are invited to propose capital projects for public facilities or infrastructure, as well as public services that benefit the homeless and lower-income residents.
For those seeking to make a tangible impact, an estimated $406,499 is allocated annually for the fiscal years 2026 and 2027 under the Public Facilities and Infrastructure category. These funds are destined to directly support public facilities upgrades, improvements, and the crafting of permanent housing solutions. Another category, Public Services, offers an estimated $60,969 each year for both fiscal years to back services ranging from employment and crime prevention to health services and housing counseling—efforts designed to comprehensively challenge the systemic issues faced by economically disadvantaged individuals.
Eligible entities for these grants include qualified non-profits, faith-based organizations, public agencies, city departments, and certain for-profit entities with a commitment to serving the community. As stated in the city's official announcement, activities funded by these grants "must be consistent with the city’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan." All applications must be submitted by November 28.
