The Memphis Safe Task Force has added another arrest to its tally in a continued federal operation that has resulted in over 1,400 arrests to date, with the latest being a 75-year-old Florida man wanted out of Shelby County on child sexual assault charges, as reported by Action News 5. The suspect, Terry Milius, was taken into custody in Pensacola, Florida, and is facing three counts of rape of a child and five counts of aggravated sexual battery.
According to WREG, Milius was located at a residence after the task force began the fugitive investigation this past Wednesday. The efforts, which combined the knowledge of the United States Marshals Service and the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, culminated in his arrest less than 24 hours following the intel discovery. Despite the swiftness of the apprehension, details of the specific allegations against Milius have not been released publicly.
It was earlier in the month, on October 1, that a warrant was issued for Milius's arrest. This led to the Memphis Safe Task Force adopting the investigation a few weeks later, according to the information received by Local Memphis. Milius is being held without bond in Escambia County, Florida, as per the county jail records.
