The National Weather Service's Milwaukee office has provided a detailed forecast for the coming days as a light drizzle and fog/mist set over the city with current conditions showing a humidity of 93%, a wind chill identical to the air temperature at 50°F, and a visibility reduced to five miles. For Milwaukee residents, it's suggested to keep those umbrellas at hand because showers are expected before 9 am today with an 80% chance of precipitation. According to the latest update, less than a tenth of an inch of new precipitation is possible.
Looking ahead, the skies are set to clear gradually, transitioning to mostly sunny conditions by tomorrow with a high near 65. However, upcoming nights aren’t spared from the weather’s fickle nature – a 30 percent chance of showers looms after 1am tomorrow night, and on Friday night, showers are likely with the possibility of a thunderstorm after 1am. When engaged in nighttime outings, residents can expect a mostly cloudy cover and southeast winds gently nudging at 5 to 10 mph, easing into the low of 55 degrees.
As the weekend rolls in, the NWS forecasts indicate that the rain isn't quite ready to say goodbye with showers likely and a possible thunderstorm expected on Saturday, boasting a high chance of precipitation at 70%. Although the anticipated rainfall suggests amounts between a quarter and half of an inch, those venturing out should prepare for possibly more than a mere drizzle. The forecast for Saturday night predicts a 50 percent chance of continued showers.
While showers seem to be persisting with a 40 percent chance predicted for Sunday, the outlook for early next week brings reprieve with mostly sunny to sunny days from Sunday to Tuesday. Despite the clear night skies anticipated for Sunday and Monday, Milwaukeeans should keep their rain gear at the ready since there's a slight chance for showers starting Monday night through Tuesday.
