The Missouri Department of Natural Resources' St. Louis Regional Office has completed its relocation, moving from its previous location at 7545 South Lindbergh in St. Louis to a new address at 1390 Timberlake Manor Parkway, Suite 200, in Chesterfield. The move was finalized recently, with the department celebrating with an open house on Oct. 16, as reported on Missouri DNR's website. This open house welcomed state and local officials, members of the regulated community, and gave attendees the opportunity to tour the upgraded facilities.
The strategic shift places the office more centrally in the St. Louis Region, ostensibly in service of heightened responsiveness and productivity. Despite the relocation, it’s business as usual for the DNR’s regional team, they continue to serve Franklin, Gasconade, Jefferson, Lincoln, Montgomery, St. Charles, St. Louis and Warren counties, and the city of St. Louis. One notable enhancement at the new location is a larger, state-of-the-art laboratory meant to boost environmental sampling and field-testing capacities. This space is also designed to facilitate hands-on training for those certified to handle public drinking water and wastewater operations.
In a statement on the Missouri Department of Natural Resources website, Dorothy Franklin, the director of the St. Louis Regional Office, shared the team's enthusiasm about their new workspace. "Our regional office team is really excited about our new facility," she said. "We’ve only been settled in for a few months, but it’s already clear that our more central location and expanded capabilities are making us more efficient and effective in providing environmental services to the region’s communities."
Resident and businesses of the serviced areas can expect continuity of service from the DNR, the team assures. The new building does not only feature a welcoming lobby area for walk-in customers, but it has also been fitted with better conference rooms to facilitate meetings.
