Medic, having arrived at the scene around 8 p.m., transported the victim to the hospital. WCNC maintains that the series of events leading to the gun-related injury remain unclear.
Earlier, a separate shooting incident was also reported by WBTV. Crime scene investigators were observed collecting evidence in an apartment complex parking lot. Nevertheless, ongoing investigations have not yielded an update on whether any suspects are in custody at this point.
The close succession of these shootings stirs an undercurrent of concern amongst residents, who await answers from law enforcement. Having happened in the same northeast quadrant of Charlotte, the proximity of both incidents raises questions about whether they are possibly related or just coincidentally aligned in geographic misfortune. As the community looks on, Queen City News, WBTV, and other local news outlets continue towards understanding the circumstances surrounding these unfortunate and violent interruptions in Charlotte's peace.
