As part of the push to align with the growing needs and interests of the community, Leu Gardens is also setting the stage for more family-friendly offerings, a nod to the garden's reputation as a tranquil urban retreat where visitors come to unwind and connect with nature however, the next evolution of the gardens is squarely focused on making this oasis even more inviting for families. In a statement reported by WESH, Jennifer D’Hollander, executive director of Leu Gardens, expressed her anticipation for the project, "We are so excited and can't wait to grow."
Of particular interest is the construction of a modern visitor center complex, which will be strategically placed to offer scenic views of Lake Rowena, complete with terraces and amphitheater-style seating designed to encourage leisure and perhaps reflection. The visitor center is not only expected to boost visitor amenities and information services but also serve as a central hub from which guests can seamlessly explore the surrounding natural splendors. The children's garden, heralded as a key feature in the expansion, is set to include meandering paths, imaginative play structures, and interactive outdoor learning areas that will provide educational diversions for the garden’s younger enthusiasts.
