
Philadelphia is gearing up for an announcement that will set the stage for its next big agricultural celebration. The city's Wyck House Farm and Gardens will be the backdrop where Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, joined by America250PA Executive Director Cassandra Coleman, reveals the theme for the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show, according to a recent notice.
As an annual event that draws in over half a million visitors, the Pennsylvania Farm Show is a significant affair that not only showcases the state's almost 50,000 farm families but also shines a light on the efforts behind the thriving $132.5 billion agriculture and food industry, which is responsible for nearly 600,000 jobs in Pennsylvania, despite the complexity of the industry including various challenges and the ever-changing economic climate the show represents Governor Josh Shapiro’s Administration dedication to maintaining and pushing forward the state's agricultural prominence and influence nationwide.
The announcement is set for today, October 2, at 10 a.m. and will include notable figures such as the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center's Executive Director Heidi Svonavec, as well as historical icon Betsy Ross and Wyck’s Executive Director Kim Staub joining Redding and Coleman for this momentous unveiling.
