The National Weather Service in Philadelphia has forecasted a day of sunshine with temperatures climbing to around 70 degrees. In an unusual break from the typical cool autumn weather, Philadelphia will experience mild conditions today, with light southerly breezes strengthening through the morning. Residents can enjoy the warmer temperatures during the day, as showers are expected to develop after 9 p.m., with an 80% chance of rain.
After several weeks of on-and-off rain, Philadelphia will get a brief break before wet weather returns by nightfall. According to the National Weather Service, rainfall totals are expected to stay light, with less than a tenth of an inch possible. A calm evening with a gentle southwest breeze around 5 mph will give way to showers later in the night.
As we look ahead, Wednesday will offer a mostly sunny outlook with highs in the mid-60s, and a west wind that could reach up to 15 mph. The rest of the week appears to be borrowing from this same climatic script, with the days mostly sunny and the nights clear, while temperatures during the day hover in the comfortable low 60s and the evenings cool down to the low 40s. Thursday and Friday will be sunny, while Saturday and Sunday will bring mostly clear skies.
