Early this morning, Constable Mark Herman's deputies conducted a traffic initiative in the Imperial Valley corridor. The operation aimed to reduce crashes and promote safety for drivers and families. Precinct 4 posted on Facebook that the drive was a reminder to motorists that safety is important on these roads, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Deputies monitored drivers for speeding and failing to obey stop signs and traffic signals. The department's Facebook post reminded the public: “Stay distraction-free – one glance at your phone can change lives forever,” and “Watch for school zones & crosswalks – kids are back in class, let's keep them safe,” as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Constable Herman's office is increasing neighborhood patrols to hold drivers accountable and improve safety. “Our deputies will continue to be proactive in neighborhoods to ensure drivers are held accountable and residents feel safe,” according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page.
