In what can only be described as a unique twist at a fast-food joint, a pet python was recently discovered at the In-N-Out Burger establishment in Monrovia. The snake made an appearance in the drive-thru line, prompting quite a reaction. The slithery visitor was retrieved and subsequently transported to the Pasadena Humane Society by a resourceful employee, who encountered the reptile during their shift. The society has since taken to social media in the hopes of reuniting the python with its owner.
Now housed at the Pasadena Humane Society, the snake described by officials as "well taken care of" suggests that its adventure away from home wasn't long. This information surfaced from a Facebook post, where the society reached out to the community online: "Please spread the word so we can locate their guardian! #LostTailsTuesday," according to Pasadena Humane's FB Post. An identification tag was assigned as A524761, although the gender of the python remains unknown.
The python's presence sparked a variety of responses on the internet, from concern to humor. Social media users did not hold back, with one quipping, "When I ordered Animal Style fries, this is not what I meant," referencing In-N-Out's special menu, as reported by KTLA. Another chimed in with a play on the restaurant's menu, saying, "Double-Double with a Shake, not Snake."
Amidst the buzz and jokes, the priority remains finding the python's rightful owner. For those who believe they may be the guardian of the rogue reptile, or know the individual who is, they're encouraged to get in touch with the Pasadena Humane Society. The shelter located at 361 S. Raymond Ave. can be contacted between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., or by phone at 626.792.7151, ext. 997. "Please spread the word so we can locate their guardian!" urged the Pasadena Humane Society in a statement obtained by NBC Los Angeles.
