Quail Springs Mall in Oklahoma City was evacuated on Monday evening after a bomb threat was reported. According to KFOR, a security guard called 911 around 6:30 p.m. after receiving the threat. The Oklahoma City Police Department responded and helped evacuate the mall.
Just after 6 p.m., a situation at a mall led to evacuations. "OKCPD officials said that those needing to meet up with family evacuated from the mall can connect at the Red Lobster at 2625 W Memorial Rd." The mall stayed closed to the public, but "Officers are also allowing mall employees into the building to retrieve personal belongings and then exit," while police conducted a sweep of the building with the help of staff familiar with the layout, as reported by The Oklahoman.
"At about 9:40 p.m., police said the search was complete, and no threat was found," following a bomb threat at a mall in Oklahoma City, as mentioned by KOCO. Round One Bowling and Amusement, which normally closes at 2 a.m., planned to reopen after the all-clear, while other stores remained closed since they had already passed normal closing hours. The investigation into the source and credibility of the threat continues as police work to ensure public safety and prevent future disruptions.
