The iconic Canadian band Rush has widened the reverberating sprawl of their 2026 "Fifty Something" reunion tour, tethering 17 additional cities including San Jose to their procession. Announced via the band's Rush Instagram account, the tour honors more than five decades of music and the enduring spirit of late drummer Neil Peart. Fans will have a shot at presale tickets beginning October 27, with general tickets going live on October 31, accessible through the band's official channels.
Fervor for the group's retracing of their storied journey has been palpable, the inaugural dates having sold out rapidly prompting this extension. In a collective burst of anticipation, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are gearing up to captivate audiences across North America, from the tour's kick-off on June 7 in Inglewood to its finale in Vancouver on December 15th. Anika Nilles, the German drumming virtuoso, will join the duo in what Lee describes as a bid "to live up to that near impossible role," according to a San Francisco Chronicle interview.
The tour promises a dual-set evening of Rush's repertoire, shuffled from a cache of 35 songs that flaunt their hits and cult favorites alike. Notably absent from this reunion tour is the Big Apple, where the band members will not be adding additional gigs beyond their already scheduled four-night residency at Madison Square Garden in late July and early August. However, adjacent cities like Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington, D.C. will host the legends, as reported by the New York Post.
