The Budget, Audit, and Board of Review Committee met Monday to discuss amendments and motions addressing key city operations, according to the committee’s report. One major item was Amendment No. 1 to the OpenGov, Inc. Master Services Agreement, which would extend services through June 2027 and allocate an additional $231,000 from 2026 bond sales to develop an asset management system. Kyle Homan from the Project Delivery Unit presented the amendment details, and the committee recommended it for approval, as per the New Orleans City Council release.
The committee also supported Motion M-25-544, which allows an exception to the city’s ban on purchasing non-electric passenger vehicles. The exemption will permit the Office of the Inspector General to acquire a vehicle outside zero-emission requirements due to limited charging infrastructure and operational needs.
Both the amendment and the motion are scheduled to appear on the Consent Agenda for the City Council’s meeting on Thursday. These measures aim to maintain essential services while continuing progress toward sustainability goals.
