The Friends of Chandler Public Library are rolling out the "Season of Friendship," a giving campaign aiming to enhance literacy, learning, and connection throughout the community with the support of the Chandler Public Library (CPL), as launched during National Friends of Libraries Week which stretches from Oct. 19 to Oct. 25 and extends out to Jan. 16, 2026, according to a recent announcement by the organization.
This philanthropic initiative is inviting Chandler residents to donate during the holiday season, funding programs ranging from STEM activities to essential digital resources such as LinkedIn Learning, and in doing so, it supports the library's diverse offerings catering to all ages. This cause earns its relevance from the spirit of holiday giving, backed by the Friends' deep commitment to library services, during a time when the warmth of community stands most radiant.
Tara Anglin, Chandler Public Library’s development and engagement program manager, emphasized the important role of libraries when she told the press, "Libraries are connection hubs in our community, fostering accessible lifelong learning, connection and programs to residents of all ages." She further elaborated on the Friends' role by stating, "Through support from the Friends and the generosity of our community, we can increase and enhance our resources to our patrons."
Earlier this year, the Friends notably committed $100,000 to support the CPL for the fiscal year of 2025-26, a substantial investment that underscores their ongoing dedication to ensuring that the library can serve as a vital resource, one that opens doors for both the young discovering the joy of books for the first time and the adults who continue to pursue the endless avenues of knowledge as they navigate through their own chapters in life.
For those inspired to contribute, donations can be made online or in person at any of the four Chandler library locations. For additional details on the Friends of Chandler Public Libraries and how one can support them, interested parties are encouraged to visit their website.
