According to the NWS Seattle, there's a chance of rain beginning this morning with a 30% chance of precipitation and a high near 63 degrees. Winds are expected to stay moderate, coming from the south at around 8 mph.
Tonight, Seattleites should anticipate rain, particularly after 4 a.m. The likelihood of precipitation jumps to 70%, though the expected rainfall is less than a tenth of an inch. The wind, coming from the south, could reach speeds of 7 to 14 mph with gusts climbing as high as 23 mph. The temperature is forecasted to stay around a mild 55 degrees.
Friday's outlook is dreary with uninterrupted rain and steady temperatures hovering around 57 degrees. "Chance of precipitation is 100%," with new rainfall amounts projected to be between three-quarters and one inch. The south-southwest wind will blow steadily at a speed of 10 to 14 mph, and gusts could peak near 22 mph, per NWS Seattle.
As we head into the weekend, the NWS warns of persistent rain with a 100% chance of precipitation during the day and into Saturday night. The temperature will peak near 55, and winds may hit 15 mph, with gusts as exuberant as 23 mph. Seattle will see an accumulation of rain ranging between a quarter and a half of an inch during this time.
Looking further ahead, the soggy weather seems set to continue. Sunday's forecast indicates yet more rain with a high of 53 degrees and a 90% chance of precipitation. While the specifics of the rainfall totals are not yet available, residents can expect similar conditions through at least the beginning of next week, with rain likely each day and temperatures consistently in the mid-50s.
