Slated for October 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the festive gathering is set to take place at the McKinley Arts and Culture Center Auditorium, promising a mix of dance tunes and a friendly environment for mingling and revelry, according to the City of Reno's news release.
In keeping with the holiday spirit, participants are encouraged to arrive in costumes, offering an extra layer of excitement to this social extravaganza, and with light refreshments to sustain the energy there's ample opportunity for seniors to get a healthy dose of fun and social interaction, which is free and readily available to those aged 60 and up, and don't worry about RSVPs – none are required for this spooky shindig.
Mayor Hillary Schieve has expressed her enthusiasm about the senior dance, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and social engagement within the senior community, "We love creating opportunities for our senior community to connect, celebrate, and have fun," she said, "This dance party is a great way to bring people together and away from isolation for an eerie, good time!" as she told the City of Reno's news release.
