The City of St. Augustine will take part in Florida City Week from October 20–26. The City Commission has planned several events to help residents learn more about city services and operations. Communications Director Melissa Wissel said, “Florida City Week is an opportunity for us to remind residents of just how much our city does – from the services we provide and the employees who do the work, to the facilities that we own and operate and even a chance to get to know our elected officials,” according to the City of St. Augustine.

During Florida City Week, St. Augustine will hold daily “Coffee with a Commissioner” sessions at local coffee shops for residents to meet city leaders. The city will also offer tours of Fish Island Preserve, the Wastewater Treatment Plant for Flagler College students, and the Visitor Information Center, as reported by the City of St. Augustine.

Florida City Week, sponsored by the Florida League of Cities, will feature events in St. Augustine to promote community participation in local government. Activities include “Coffee with a Commissioner,” where residents can meet with city representatives. The full schedule, including dates, times, and locations, is available on the City of St. Augustine’s official website.
