Students in St. Johns County recently had the chance to learn about the local water supply and management systems. During the sixth week of SJC 101, participants visited the St. Johns County Utilities Department to observe the work involved in providing clean drinking water and maintaining infrastructure, as shared in a recent St. Johns County's social media post.
"During week 6, students got an inside look at the St. Johns County Utilities Department," the department's post read, describing the program’s goal to provide a comprehensive overview of the services that support the community. The post also noted the County’s focus on transparency and informing residents.
This educational program focuses on the workers who maintain clean water and sewer systems. It aims to inform students about the importance of these services in daily life and the roles of the people who perform them.
