If you're in the St. Louis Park area and looking for a fun, eco-friendly activity, the city's sustainability scavenger hunt is underway and open for participation through October 31. In an effort to promote environmental awareness and community engagement, participants are invited to explore various sustainable and ecological points of interest around town. Those who complete the hunt stand a chance to win two-day passes to the St. Louis Park Aquatic Park.
As reported by the city's GovDelivery bulletin, the scavenger hunt's destinations include pollinator habitats and the highly esteemed 2026 Most Valued Tree. This initiative not only aims to entertain but also to subtly educate residents on the crucial role these elements play in maintaining a healthy ecosystem. Moreover, the adventure introduces participants to local businesses that prioritize reuse, fostering a greater sense of community and individual responsibility for the environment.
To get started, interested individuals can acquire a scavenger hunt card from several locations, including the city hall, The Rec Center, Lenox Community Center, or the St. Louis Park Library. The process has been designed to quickly integrate potential adventurers into the heart of the hunt, ensuring no time is wasted for those eager to partake in the green mission.
Once the exploratory journey is completed, participants are instructed to "take a photo of your card or scan it and email it to Annie Pottorff, sustainability specialist," or to alternatively drop it off at city hall, says the official announcement. This simple act of submission is the final step to be eligible for the prize drawing.
