The City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, is offering residents a creative way to engage with their environment with the St. Louis Park Sustainability Scavenger Hunt. Announced in a recent social media post, the hunt provides an opportunity to explore various eco-friendly highlights around the community before the deadline on October 31st.
Participants in the scavenger hunt stand to win two-day passes to the St. Louis Park Aquatic Park, a reward for those who venture through the city's green spaces and businesses. The activity is designed to be both educational and rewarding, helping locals uncover pollinator habitats, the 2026 Most Valued Tree, and reuse-focused commercial endeavors. "You will discover pollinator habitats, check out the 2026 Most Valued Tree, explore a local reuse-focused business, and uncover other sustainability gems in our community," the city described in their post.
For those looking to join the adventure, scavenger hunt cards are accessible both online and at physical locations within the city. Cards can be printed at home by visiting the provided bit.ly link or picked up at St. Louis Park City Hall, The Rec Center, or the St. Louis Park Library. Intrigued residents need only to embark on their sustainability trek and mark their discoveries on the card to partake in this community event.
Once the scavenger hunt is complete, players are instructed to submit evidence of their journey to enter the prize drawing. "When you’ve completed your adventure, either take a photo of your card or scan it and email to Annie Pottorff, sustainability specialist, at [email protected]," the city's post elaborates. Alternatively, completed cards can also be dropped off in person at city hall, where they will be collected for participation confirmation and, a potential aquatic reward for environmentally curious locals.
