Demaro McDowell, a 45-year-old man, now faces charges that include murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), McDowell was arrested on October 17 by the department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT).
Following his arrest, McDowell was transported to the Law Enforcement Center for interrogation before being handed to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, CMPD explained. Mr. Hill, the victim in this matter, has had his next of kin notified of the developments in the case.
