Despite being rushed to the hospital, Tavarez succumbed to her injuries. In the wake of the event, 44-year-old Hariston Jose Urena Morales has been arrested and is facing charges, sparking a deep examination of violence that continues to disrupt the lives of individuals and communities alike.
