At this gathering of law enforcement leadership from across the globe, White Settlement's Chief Cook led the charge, conducting two training sessions on the department's approach to community interaction.
According to the Facebook post by the White Settlement Police Department, Assistant Chief Yount joined Chief Cook in representing the voices of smaller agencies within the Smaller Department Section. Despite the session's focus on smaller departments, the representation was not small by any measure, ensuring the unique perspectives of these agencies were recognized and taken into account during national-level discussions.
On the communications forefront, Corporal Laura Gonzalez took part in the Public Information Officers Section of the conference. She was on hand to share the department’s current practices and to lend an ear to the latest trends in the rapidly growing field of public information strategy.
The presence of White Settlement's finest at such a large-scale event highlighted not only their contributions but also allowed the department to remain abreast of cutting-edge technology, funding opportunities, and evolving policies. Staying ahead of the curve, these officers have returned equipped with knowledge on novel community engagement initiatives and programs. "Your hometown police department represented our agency and community well," the White Settlement Police Department posted, indicating a sense of pride and accomplishment from the team's participation.
